What is the function of the valve spring seat?

The valve spring seat is an auxiliary device used to support the spring, which is widely used in the field of mechanical equipment; When using the existing valve spring seat, the spring is first placed on the upper end of the spring seat, and the limit rod is inserted into the limit hole of the spring seat through the spring to assist in stabilizing the spring; During the use of existing valve spring seats, it has been found that when processing spring seats with conventional devices, the volume of the spring seats is small, making it difficult to fix the spring seats during processing, resulting in poor processing efficiency of the equipment.

The valve spring seat, including the spring seat, is placed on a special fixture. The special fixture includes a processing cover and two fixing devices. The upper end of the processing cover is provided with a placement slot, and the spring seat is placed in the placement slot at the upper end of the processing cover. Two fixing devices are installed on the machining cover. The fixing device comprises a pressing plate, and the lower end of the pressing plate is provided with a pressing block. The pressure block is close to the upper end of the spring seat. The pressing plate is fixed to the upper end of the lifting rod by bolts. The upper end of the processing cover is provided with an opening through which the lifting rod passes.

The function of the valve spring seat is to ensure that the valve is seated in a timely manner and tightly fitted, preventing the valve from bouncing during engine vibration and damaging its sealing performance. When installing the valve spring, the pre pressure generated by pre compression is used to overcome the inertial force of the valve and its transmission components during the valve closing process, eliminate the gap caused by the inertial force between the transmission components, and achieve its functions.

Increasing the natural vibration frequency of the valve spring is an attempt to increase the stiffness of the valve spring, such as increasing the diameter of the steel wire or reducing the coil diameter of the spring. This method is relatively simple, but due to the high spring stiffness, it increases power consumption and impact load between parts;

Install two valves with different diameters per valve using dual valve springs The inner and outer springs rotate in opposite directions. Due to the different natural vibration frequencies of the two springs, when one spring resonates, the other spring can play a damping role. Rotating in reverse can prevent one spring from getting stuck in the other spring when it breaks, causing a good spring to get stuck or damaged. In addition, if one spring breaks, the other spring can still keep the valve from falling into the cylinder;

When working with unequal pitch springs, the ends with small pitches gradually overlap, the effective number of turns gradually decreases, and the natural frequency gradually increases, making resonance impossible;

4. A single spring with equal pitch is used, and an interference fit damping friction plate is added to its inner ring to eliminate resonance.
